The History of Rainy Dawg Radio

We are the ONE AND ONLY student run radio station on UW Seattle Campus, broadcasting worldwide!! Rainy Dawg Radio was founded in the early 2000s by students, for students, who share a common passion for music.

We host our shows exclusively from our website - rainydawg.org (right here!). DJs come into the studio on a weekly basis to host highly curated hour long radio shows live on air. Our Blawggers meet weekly and keep tabs on all the coolest music news around UW and beyond!

Our station is hosted in the Husky Union Building in office 131N.

Volunteer DJ

Being a Volunteer DJ means an hour of showtime a week to broadcast live to the world!

Our pack of 50+ DJs host shows of all variety: punk, disco, hip-hop, and more! Feel like there's a blind spot in our programming? Have something unique to share? Uncover your grans old CD collection? Converse with musically tasteful seagulls? Come tell us all about it on air!

APPLICATIONS OPEN BELOW: Monday, Oct 26th 2026 (Closing Monday, Nov 9th.)

- This position is for UW Seattle Students (undergrad/grad/transfer) and is UNPAID! It's ultimately a volunteer position.
